“ Awesome variety of frozen dumplings. Checkout moved quickly. Came here a few times this winter. Parking is still adventurous, I'm glad there's a SEPTA trolley stop nearby. Passport app for parking meters now available. The upper level has a newer Paris Baguette as you get off the escalator. The lower level now has a expanded prepared food display including beef or vegetable Maki, fried dumplings plus cheese or chicken tamales and other dishes. Plenty of frozen dumplings with lots of variety. My go to location for kimchi dumplings. A surprising selection of Hispanic food including multiple kinds of chorizo and lots of cheeses. Lots of sauces and dry noodles and rice, too. No sriracha shortage here. A reliable stop for Asian food and more. ”
“ Have always enjoyed this grocery chain. Extensive variety of produce, seafood, meats, and ingredients. Prices are very reasonable. The food court on the upper floor has some great places to eat. ”
“ They have a lot of food I've never had before! :))) Definitely recommend! Employees are friendly ”
“ Got the seafood kalguksoo, which was delicious and huge! I've never seen a bigger bowl. It came with kimchi, which was the best I've ever eaten. Great value for about $12. ”
“ Great food, great supermarket in the first floor. Definitely would recommend been here several times I forget what the name of the meals are... but I like trying different things -all good ”
“ I come here once in awhile with my classmates when we long for the taste of home in Asian cuisines. Some of the photos on yelp are misleading because they were not taken at the location. The space is a little crowded and some of the shelving can feel disorganized, but we find everything we need usually at the end of the day. All the staff members are very friendly and try their best to help. There's usually always some deals going and they encourage you to take advantage of ones you might miss. Like others have said, I've been to several other HMarts and this probably ranks among the lowest among all of them, but it means everything when there's almost no where else to get what it offers nearby. ”
“ I've definitely been to better H-Mart than this one. This Upper Darby one is not the most convenient one to go: 1) first it's hard to find free parking. We ended up paying $2 for 2-hour parking; 2) the layout of this one is less convenient--food court is on the upper level. One way in and one way out. The aisles are more cramped than other H-Mart. It feels less clean and tidy too. Yet, the food price at the food court is very reasonable. I would probably drive to the one in Elkins Park next time. ”
“ Wanted to try the HMart in Upper Darby after such positive experiences at the HMart in Philadelphia. As always, we first visited the food court for lunch (up an escalator), which was smaller than that in Philadelphia, but everything we ordered was terrific: Dol Sot Bibimbap from Jian Korean Cuisine remained piping hot throughout my meal and Omelet Rice from Mongshil Tongtong was tasty, too. There was also another Korean offering, a sushi spot (seemed to be closed), two bubble tea/boba spots, and some other non-food offerings (e.g., CPA, hair salon). The grocery store portion was much smaller than that in Philadelphia, but had the basics. One additional note, the parking out front is metered with meters that accept quarters. Although they say you can use an app, it did not seem to be working for us or for fellow parkers we consulted at the time. I saw a sign at the register when checking out that there's a parking lot, but it was not obvious to us when we pulled up. ”
“ I absolutely love Hmart and I remember when it opened in this location. I used to live in Upper Darby and with an Asian mother, I frequented H Mart very often (and I would always get Anh Hong pho as a treat afterward). Now that I've moved into the city, I don't go as often as I'd like but whenever I'm craving a taste of my childhood I always go to Hmart and they'll have what I'm looking for. I headed there today looking for items to make onigiri but I wasn't sure if they'd have it all but of course they did and then some! If you're looking to try out some Asian treats, fruits, or food in general - this is the place to go! Don't forget they also have a food court upstairs which has AMAZING food! ”
“ Shopping at H-mart was a wonderful learning experience. It was my first time in the store and I was so excited to explore the Asian food items. H-mart is a kinda medium-sized supermarket it has two levels, the bottom is pretty much the market side and the top level, I believe is the food court. I didn't manage to go to the upper level. H-mart has items such as Asian snacks, convenience items such as packaged noodles, produce, meats basically everything that you would find at any market just with a Asian twist. Last week I wanted to make korean bb.q chicken so I was looking for a authentic korean sauce to compliment my chicken. A lovely store associate helped me find the perfect sauce that I was looking for and it was delicious. Overall I will definitely visit H-mart again to explore the top level! Oh and prices are affordable and reasonable. ”
